He was born and raised in Vancouver but later studied green technology and sustainable living overseas in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA. For the past 8 years, Victoria has been his loving home, building and renovating houses with many contractors. An endless drive to achieve goals goes beyond work. Derek is an avid trail-running competitor and outrigger paddler. The science in health and nutrition remains one of Derek’s biggest passions; he may even humbly admit he holds a Masters in Nutrition.
